Hiking track to “La Cangreja” waterfall
At this 3 miles/5 km trail you walk through a jungle with a great variety of birds, as the Blue-crowned Motmot, the Mountain finch and the Emerald Toucan. You can see mammals like the raccoon, the white nosed coati and Central American agouti, reptiles and insects in a more or less inhospitable area.
Halfways, in the middle of the wood, you reach the “Cangreja” (the crab) waterfall.
The 130 feet/40m high waterfall forms a clear blue pool at its foot.
Transportation from the hotel to the main gate of the park and back is arranged by car. The National Park itself only may be entered by foot. The national Park is closed on Mondays.
